Tortuga Design Studio is run by the creative mind of Joe Martinez. He is a designer and printmaker residing on the east coast of Florida. After many years printing and designing apparel for friends, local bands, and businesses, he founded his own company in 2017. Choosing to focus on an improvisational collage-based design approach, he creates a wide array of unique eye-catching designs, prints, and apparel.
With an itch to create tactile products again, he built a screen printing studio where he now hand pulls prints and apparel. He has worked with bands such as Greensky Bluegrass, Umphrey’s McGee, Widespread Panic, Pretty Lights, The Movement, Moe, STS9, Eric Church, OAR, and many more.
When he’s not covered in ink or designing, he’s raising 2 kiddos with his wife, slapping the bass, being a cat dad, and longboarding.
